Good Tidings of Great Joy
Luke 2:10 (KJB) And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
Great joy, what is it and where can you find it?
Ask yourself, do you really know both no fear and great joy?
This verse states that “I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people…” God does not just choose to make joy available for some people and not others. His desire is for every person to have sincere joy overflowing in his or her life.
Sadly, often a professing Christian can be one of the sourest people, with many rightly earning a nickname of “Lemonade Christian.”
Yes, in this world, a person often faces great trials and repeated tribulations. Circumstances can steal or stifle a person’s delight, but take notice that God sent His Son into this world with the divine purpose of bringing every person great and lasting joy.
If your heart does not personally know this kind of joy then perhaps you really do not know God like you thought you did. If you sincerely know the joy of the Lord it will permeate into this world affecting the lives of others as you devote yourself to identifying with God and bringing Him honor and glory.
However, if you are a sour and sad Christian at heart, then you must seek personal fellowship with God for having the presence of sincere joy presiding inside your heart.
