Proverbs 8:13 (KJB) The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Indeed, this particular verse is not popular scripture in the times in which we live. Why, because it ties together fear of the Lord and directs us to hate evil. You see, the world loves to cozy up to corruption and to disregard God. The word disregard is not even strong enough for describing how any person who aligns with such pure wicked working this world is naturally motivated to detest and debunk God.
To fear God is to align oneself with His character. God’s nature is full of grace, mercy, pureness, holiness, and includes an entire crop of the fruit of the Spirit. Being godly stands in stark contrast to any choice to align up with ungodliness. This includes taking part in irresponsible speech, pride, wickedness, and the presence of evil naturally at work in this world.
A sincere child of God naturally fears God and hates what God hates and loves what God loves. A person who is under the spiritual influence of satan stands in stark opposition to God and naturally loves what God hates.
