Mark 11:23 (KJB) For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Wouldn’t it be neat to have the ability to have whatsoever you desire? Kind of like having a little genie in a bottle that gives you whatever you want. This type of unlimited potential sounds like nothing more than a television, book, or movie plot, but for any sincere professing Christian, it is not.
This verse of scripture contains a promise from God. You see, getting what you want does not involve whining, waving a wand, or plotting. Though, some individuals and like-minded groups often resort to such tactics in an attempt to get what they want. None of this hoopla is necessary.
God tells us, His children, we can have whatever we want in this verse and others throughout the canon of scripture like it. Imagine the potential future implications of placing your faith in God to bring about your every desire. This kind of possibility is not a fairy tale in the making. Instead, having whatsoever a person wants, within the context of this verse solely rests upon the goodness and grace of God.
You see, when a genuine child of God places his or her trust in God, he or she can receive whatsoever they desire. How does this kind of blessing work? When a child of God agrees with God and desires what He desires- they will receive whatsoever they want in answer to their heartfelt petitions and prayer before God.
God answers prayer. God desires to bless each person with the desires of his or her heart. Lack of faith, failure to submit to God, and disobedience to the will of God often stand in the way of receiving such blessings from God.
