He is Faithful
1 Thessalonians 5:24 (KJB) Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
This succinct verse is packed with a lot of spiritual gusto. “Faithful is He…”
Certainly, you know that the He refers to God and that it is true He is faithful, has been faithful, and will be faithful forever. Not only is He faithful but He has called you, me, and every person born into this world to serve and savor Him and only Him!
What, you might ask has God called me?
Yes, God calls upon the heart of every man, woman, and child for each person has a God-sized hole in their heart that only He can fill. Anything else that a person tries to fit into this sweet spot will not appease and pacify.
Even though God calls each person, desiring that we will choose to serve and savor Him, every person has free will to say no to God and yes to following after the darkness of the god of this world. Sadly, many people do relish and run after the darkness of god rather than savoring the one true God.
In every case, whether a man is found faithful or not, God proves Himself to be faithful. The god of this world is continually unreliable and fleeting. Here today and perhaps gone tomorrow. You can count on God who will always do what He has promised, and this statement will ring true yesterday, today, tomorrow, and for all eternity.
