Heavily Burdened or Bursting with Joy
Proverbs 12:25 (KJB) Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
Bearing the weight of sin is spiritually agonizing and physically painful. It causes one of two possible reactions in every man. He either crawls on his knees towards God. Or he suppresses the truth and hurriedly crawls away from things of God.
One direction increases his pain while the other releases his distress and discomfort ushering in gladness and joy of God.
Crawling humbly on your knees towards God prepares you to place God first in your life and yourself last. Scuttling away from God while burdened with the weight of sin allows man to lead himself deeper into to sin and shame away from the holiness and perfection of God.
