Hindsight Often Presents a Clearer Picture
Matthew 27:54 (KJB) Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
If only a man could spend his time driving backwards on the roads of life seeing situations from his hindsight rather than living in each moment. The results of a choice and the consequences of sin would be so much more apparent, perhaps, a man would seek to make different choices with his life?
Men were like that in the times in which Jesus was alive in this world. They heard his words, and his preaching, but could not understand or comprehend about all the events that would take place, especially at Calvary. Looking at Calvary after the supernatural events took place was certainly a much clearer and spiritually richer perspective.
The backside of Calvary gave many witnesses a “wide open” eyesight for understanding things of God.
