Hitting Rock Bottom
Psalm 40:1-2 (KJB) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
When a man comes to the end of himself and hits the place of spiritual rock bottom” there is no other direction for him to travel than upwards in the supernatural power and presence of God. It takes the strength of God to lift a man out of the pit of sin he has dug for himself.
Yes! Jesus Christ is patiently waiting to pull you up out of the pit and place your feet upon His solid and eternal footing. He desires to direct your pathway as you sojourn in this world and forevermore.
Ultimately the choice is up to you. Either you fail, fumble, and fall into the miry pit of sin or you allow the strong and nail scarred hand of God lift you up out of the mud of this world and place you in an eternal course that provides lasting spiritual safety and security.
