Hope and Peace in Death
1 Thessalonians 4:13 (KJB) But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
The subject of death must be a tough one for individuals who do not personally know Jesus Christ. What do they have to hope for if death is the end of all things? If God placed a period on hope at death, then in what can any further hope be placed? As there loved ones die it must leave a huge gaping hole that cannot ever be filled with things of this world.
Today no individual must be continually ignorant concerning death. It is no great surprise that any person choosing to ignore God makes a personal choice to overlook the significance of life and physical death. Any person can know for sure what will happen to him upon his own death for it has been clearly recorded in God’s Word for our learning and personal application.
Lasting hope and peace can be found in both life and death as every spiritually regenerated soul is comforted and consoled in sweet eternal fellowship with God. Lost souls are left without confidence and harmony forever upon death.
