If You Are In Christ, You Are Pleasing To God
Philippians 2:13 (KJV) For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
A child of God does not get saved by placing faith in God and pleasing Him with works. No, God was pleased with the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary, and if you are living in Christ and redeemed by His shed blood rather than wrapped up in self, God is pleased with you.
The power for sincere obedience comes exclusively from God and not within anything of yourself (you are hid with Christ- Colossians 3:3). Performing works to please God is exhausting and leads to burnout, lack of joy, a “lemonade Christian,” or an insincere profession of faith, following the law, and performing acts of work. No matter what such a person does, he cannot access the power of God, satisfy God, or appease his sinful nature. Eventually, such a person loses interest in serving God and falls by the wayside, showing his true spiritual color by aligning with the evil works of the god of this world.
The secret to satisfying and selflessly serving God is to cherish Him and to reverence Him with your whole heart (Galatians 2:20.). It’s been said when God has your all; He is all you need. A godly mindset and softened heart lead to lasting peace, satisfaction, and genuine humility, and all are pleasing to God.
