Impacting The Lives of Others with Love
But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? (1 John 3:17 KJV)
Pause for a moment to contemplate upon the profound love and tenderness of heart God has shown to you as well as other brothers and sisters in Christ.
God’s bowels of compassion are unconditionally poured out for our every need. God’s love is without bounds or restrictions and given without partiality or regard to a person’s particular station in life.
Mankind often chooses to shutter up His love towards another if he perceives a particular sin is beyond perceived limits or in some way not warranted for further love, care, or concern. However, the same man often fails to consider his own deplorable state of affairs and the depth to which he himself had fallen in sin and how God’s love worked to encourage him bringing forth a bountiful harvest of fruit rather than rotting fruit drawing pesky flies.
The fact that you and I have been allowed to become children of God, despite ourselves, and be wholly reliant upon His rich grace and mercy, should go a long way in persuading us to help other brothers and sister’s who are found in the valleys and dry spiritual deserts in this world.
