Incomplete Without The Other
1 Corinthians 11:11 (KJB) Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
Yesterday, February 14th, another Valentine’s Day has come and gone. It is important to note that this much celebrated day in this world comes with the giving of roses and candy every year. This day is meant to celebrate love and human relationships between a man and a woman at the leading of the Catholic Church centuries ago.
However, now Valentine’s Day is used to point to diverse kinds of relationships beyond one man and one woman, said to be united in love. Not only does this day now look to love between a man and a woman, but is used to celebrate many kinds of immoral and loveless relationships.
God gives us a lovely picture of love and relationships in His Word, and we should desire to celebrate them every day, not just one day a year. God expresses to us that a man is not complete without a woman, and a woman is not complete without a man. Especially true is that neither a man or woman can be complete without the Lord sitting at the helm of their relationship. You see, God is the head of all relationships and gave us the necessary elements to form a lasting and complete relationship according to His divine design.
Only with God at the helm can a relationship be pure and complete. God gives us every element necessary to form perfect love relationships. Perfection does not include cupids, relationship diversity, or in celebrating a word-based holiday originating in deeply held Catholic beliefs. Perfect love is possible with God every day.
