Jesus Christ came to die
Hebrews 9:25-28 (KJB) Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
I hope you understand that God did not send His Only Son to this world to live, to bless mankind in person, and to occupy this land. God sent His only Son to die so that every person could choose to live forever. Jesus Christ brought us the gift of life through His death.
You see, Jesus Christ’s birth into this world was only the beginning stages of His earthly ministry. God’s will in the matter included Jesus Christ remaining alive a short time in this world and for Him to die physically, shedding His precious blood for the removal of the consequences of sin. Jesus Christ bore the entire weight of sin of the world on His shoulders so that any person can repent from his sin, apply God’s forgiveness, choosing to live forever.
It is important to note that God did not send His Son to die so that we can live however we want in this wicked leaning world. No, God has a will for your life and mine which includes living forever in spiritual agreement with Him, now and for all eternity.
Not only was Jesus Christ the one and only sufficient sacrifice for removal of sin, but you can count on it, He will return one day soon to this world to usher His spiritual family to eternity to live in sweet fellowship with God forever and to fulfill His promise of judgment of hearts persisting in spiritual disagreement with Him.
Jesus Christ is a Christmas gift that keeps on giving, now and forever. I hope you have opened the gift of God made possible through the shed blood sacrifice of His Only Son Jesus Christ having repented from sin and living unto His nature in spiritual agreement with Him.
