Jesus Christ Fulfilled the Law
Romans 3:31 (KJB) Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Matthew 5:17 (KJB) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
The Old Testament Law of God was not abolished, or made void, by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary. Indeed, the law of God was fulfilled by Jesus Christ’s shed blood sacrifice, it was compensation in full for the entire debt of sin.
This vital spiritual work of Jesus Christ on Calvary was completed and forever satisfies the Law of God. Indeed, Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death promptly and profoundly answered the problem of sin forever. Mankind could not give an answer or pay his debt of sin on his or her own merit. Sin is naturally applicable to every soul upon birth. Only those hearts who are willing to agree with God about the nature of sin, and recognize the shed blood payment Jesus Christ completed, are made eternally free from the consequence of sin.
Otherwise, a soul not forgiven for his sin remains indebted to God for he has not personally sought God’s forgiveness and applied the gift of grace given of God.
The payment of sin is collectively pertinent for all sin; past, present, and future. Recompence is applied through faith by every professing child of God. Only a personal application will acknowledge and thereby through the spiritual work of God eradicate personal sin debt.
Jesus Christ perfectly fulfilled the Law of God, rather than abolish it.
