KJV Man Series #11
To call Jesus Christ anything less than the Son of God is quite an insult. For Jesus Christ to be referred to as a servant rather than the Son of God is a grave error for any “Bible Corrector to make. What is even sadder is that this alteration did not take place in just one scripture verse but can be found in multiple verses.
We are going to look at two verses from the third chapter of Acts for this glaring alteration concerning the Son, for proper reference to Jesus Christ, as has always been found in The King James Bible :
Acts 3:13 (KJB) The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
Acts 3:26 (KJB) Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
servant Jesus, Only Son Jesus, these two names cannot be applied synonymously by any serious hearted Christian. One name describes the Son of God while the other designates the willing character or spiritual essence of God. While it is true that Jesus Christ was a willing servant to the will of God, He is much more than a follower, fan, or supporter of God. Fans can be fickle, with you one minute and gone the next; Jesus Christ made the choice to be submissive to the will of God for His life no matter any extreme agony He was to face. God did not horse collar Him into obedience to His will for Jesus Christ chose to submit to His Father.
Every person must also make a choice: To be ignorant of God and to stand in stark opposition to Him. Or to be found in submission to His will serving Him with softened spiritual hearts as they sojourn this world.
You and I, with spiritually regenerated hearts do naturally yearn to walk in obedience to the desires and direction of God, indeed as willing servants to the will of God divinely placed on our life. Though, as we sojourn on this earth, each of us will have face many battles concerning the desires of our flesh. You and I cannot ever be on the same spiritual plane as God, His Spirit, or His Only Son Jesus Christ for we are created beings formed by the very hand of God for the express purpose of fulfilling God’s will and purpose in this world and upon our physical death to rest in sweet fellowship with Him for all eternity with submission only possible only through the presence and power of God at work in the heart.
We do not, however, have an eternal; place at the right hand of God, as does Jesus Christ, making Him equal with God and the Spirit of God. Any person can receive redemption through personal faith placed in the finished work of Jesus Christ upon Calvary.
It is sad how the Bible correctors felt compelled to change the name of Jesus Christ to a reference a lowly and forced servant who was glorified as God. This same God who was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob according to Bible correctors, had a servant rather than His Only begotten Son. However, we know that It was His Son Jesus Christ who supernaturally fulfilled the will of God upon Calvary to bless both God and all mankind with the taking away the sin of the world. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, now sitting at the right hand of God in Heaven awaiting the redemption of every regenerated heart, including you and I, to be in sweet eternal fellowship with Him.
