Jesus Christ’s Shed Blood Purchased redemption
Hebrews 9:12 (KJB) Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Redemption had a high price, and Jesus Christ paid this in full without complaint or consideration for the cost. He willing faced physical death so that you and I and every other soul can live forever.
Jesus Christ’s precious blood was shed on the cross at Calvary once for all sin, and all means all- past, present, and future. His blood is superior to the shed blood sacrifice of animals offered as an atonement, or a covering for sin in Old Testament times. Jesus Christ answered a New Testament covenant with His precious blood, which ushered in the removal of sin.
Eternal redemption is possible for every person who places faith in the spiritual work of Calvary through the precious shed blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Being covered in His blood is superior to the Old Testament system of animal sacrifices, which, at best, were offered to God as a covering for sin by a Levitical priest. Jesus Christ’s blood must be personally applied and has the power to redeem spiritually softened souls by the removal of sin.
