Jesus Touched Him
Matthew 8:3 (KJB) And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Any person who professes to know Jesus Christ has experienced His touch.
He touches the lame.
He touches the Blind.
He touches the hurting.
He touches the leprous.
He touches adulterers.
He touches Sodomites.
Sadly, this generation often refrains from physically, spiritually, and emotionally touching people. Often citing an individual need for their own space and in even having days where they are not “feeling peoplely. “
Yes, autocorrect “peoplely” I meant to spell it that way. This is a new term for expressing a posture of stinginess with one’s time and circumstances rather than reaching out to meet the needs of others as Jesus’s hands and feet in this world. Even sincere Christians are sometimes infected with this selfish hearted disease.
The Bible speaks about treating strangers warmly, being kindly affectioned, to love others as Jesus loves, and so forth. So, how does refraining from offering love and affection to others, despite their state of affairs and wayward choices fit into the spiritual mold God’s Word has set forth for us to follow?
