Just like the day’s of Noah

Revelation 19:19 (KJB) And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

The future is predicted here of a future war. Not just any war but THE final war in the history of our world. There is yet one final conflict on earth before our Lord establishes God’s kingdom.

What we see in this verse is devastating to me. John is recording the future and he says, I saw the beast (that is, the antichrist) and the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse (that is, Jesus Christ) and against His army.

Just like the days of Noah…

Revelation 13:2 (KJB) And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon (satan) gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Our world today is not the world it was a month ago, or two months ago. Many places in America have been taken over by rebellious anarchists united against God and what is Biblical. These people are only united in rebellion. They don’t stand for anything and it has been proven even when the liberal government gives them what they ask for it is not what they want, and never enough.

Let’s look at one more verse before we return to the original thought that we initially had.

Matthew 24:37 (KJB) But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew gives us this prophecy that the second coming of Jesus Christ will be just like the days of Noah. It would seem that if we do some research we could discover what the Apostles were saying to us regarding the days of Noah. In fact if we look in the book of Genesis we discover the following facts.

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Genesis 6:5 (KJB)

Today we have anarchists that have burned buildings which likely will ruin many financially. Entire areas have been laid siege to while liberal mayors and governors have sat by allowing rebellion to run unabated. Some of our cities have seen unrest for more than two months. Countless statues reflecting our great countries past have been torn down or worse removed by mayors or governors who are enabling the childish and rebellious actions of anarchists. People have been murdered, law enforcement officers have been persecuted and murdered for doing their jobs and perhaps to reach the summit of ridiculousness they want to de-fund of police. This is not being requested just by childish anarchists but by politicians who are still sitting in office and supposedly speaking for us, the people. When God looks down on America what do you think He things or says?

And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Genesis 6:13 (KJB)

Genesis 6:11 (KJB) The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

Is our world today just like the days of Noah? It does not take any imagination at all to draw the comparisons of the sinful world of Noah’s day and our world today. God has given us some signs to watch for and it seems we should be paying close attention.

Returning to our original thought let’s look at the verse from Revelation once more.

Revelation 19:19 (KJB) And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

We have here a picture of the Antichrist gathered with the rulers of the earth and their armies preparing to do battle with Jesus Christ. Now, I have framed this somewhat in plain English for us to consider. What we have is the Antichrist AND the rulers of our world gathered together to war with Jesus Christ.

Let us examine that statement in the context of our world today… Do you think if the Antichrist were to gather together with the rulers of the world today that “antichrist” would be whispering in their itching ears things they want to hear?

Would the rulers of our world today unite with a leader who was against God? Many of the mayors, governors and even world leaders today are just looking for an opportunity to join together to eradicate America and Israel. Here in America we have elected politicians that hate our country, and want nothing but change, and a one world government.

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 (KJB) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Christians have a tremendous responsibility to reach those who have not believed in Jesus Christ by faith and His finished works on the Old Rugged Cross. There are many signs in our world today that the days may be getting short and we have many to reach yet.

Do you have family of friends who need to hear the life saving gospel of Jesus Christ today?

Isaiah 45:22 (KJB) Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

This is where most people stumble. We feel that something so wonderful cannot be obtained so easily. All one has to do to be saved is to look to Jesus. In the words of the text, “Look unto me, and be ye saved.
The text does not say, “Look unto me, turn over a new leaf, live right, keep the Ten Commandments, and promise you will never sin again, and be ye saved.” No – a thousand times no! It simply says, “Look unto me, and be ye saved.”

What does looking unto Jesus mean? Looking unto Jesus means trusting Him completely. It means putting both feet on Jesus and having no claim and no hope of Heaven except the fact that Jesus Christ died for you and paid your sin debt in full.

John 3:16-17

Why is salvation great? Salvation is great because of what it includes. Many people do not understand when they trust Jesus Christ as their Saviour what is included in their salvation. They know that if they were to die after that moment they would go to Heaven and miss Hell; but that is about all they know about salvation. Most people, in thinking about salvation, think only about escaping Hell. To be sure, salvation means being saved from the penalty of sin, which is Hell; but salvation includes much more.

  • Salvation includes deliverance from the reign of sin. Romans 5:21 states, “That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so, might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.” Here the Bible is not speaking about the act of sin but the sinful nature. When we were born, we inherited a sinful nature.
  • Salvation is great because it includes Peace with God. In Romans 5:1 the apostle said, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
  • Salvation is great because it includes deliverance from the penalty of sin. That is the main thing, “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Ezekiel 18:4 states, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” God said to Adam in Genesis 2:17, “For in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
  • Salvation is great because it includes having your own attorney. The Bible says in 1 John 2:1 “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” An Advocate or an Attorney, a Counselor, One who pleads our case with God.
  • Salvation is great because it includes the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit. When a person receives Christ as Saviour, the Holy Spirit comes in to take up permanent residence. Galatians 4:6 says “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.”
  • Salvation is great because it includes a perfect standing before God. When you trust Jesus Christ as Saviour, God looks at you as if you had never committed a sin. He gives you a perfect standing. Romans 5:1 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
  • Salvation is great because of what was required to accomplish it. When God created the worlds, He did it with His word: Psalms 33:6 “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.” It took more for salvation of sinners than it did to create all the worlds, all the planets, and the entire universe. God only had to speak and they came into existence. But when God wanted to save sinners, He had to come into the world Himself, take upon Himself a human body, live a perfect, sinless life in that body thirty-three years, bear in that body our sins and suffer on the cross everything we would have to suffer if we died without Him and went to Hell. He had to be raised from the dead for our justification.
  • Salvation is great because of its availability. Not one sinner ever lived whom Jesus didn’t die for. There is not a sinner of the topside of God’s earth who cannot be saved if he wills to be saved. In John 12:32 Jesus says, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” Notice the verse says all, not the elect, you don’t spell elect ‘a-l-l’.
  • Salvation is great because of its simplicity. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 11:3 “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” It sounds so simple that most men reject it. But let me tell you, salvation can be had by all men simply by believing.
