Like a Spiritual Latte
Psalm 23:6 (KJB) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
This comforting scripture is for every child of God and concludes the twenty-third Psalm. This psalm is rounded out by an unequivocal perpetual reassurance giving certain eternal hope concerning two significant areas of life.
Isn’t it true that hearing and reading such wonderful promises of God such as these are like enjoying soothing sips of a refreshing latte on a cold and blustery Winter day!
The first expectation is found as the psalmist records about sojourning on this earth. He was inspired to declare that the mercy and goodness of God will follow him “all the days of my life…” This affirms the truth, as recorded in the canon of scripture, that God will never leave a godly man or woman’s side or forsake him as he exists on this earth, giving them something perpetually solid in which to hold onto in the midst of many anticipated trials and troubles.
Even more important, this Psalm emphatically states that the man and woman of God will dwell with Him forever, to include both on this earth and in the eternal realm.
A personal relationship with God begins the very moment a spiritually humbled and righteous man or woman begins his new spiritual eternal existence found only inside a personal spiritual relationship with God.
