Biblical Wisdom Wednesday for Common Questions of Life
Love God with Your Heart, Soul, and Mind
Matthew 22:37-39 (KJB) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
You may ask does God hate me? The answer is a resounding No!
God desires for every person to truly love Him from the heart.
Truly loving God leads a man to desire to fulfill God’s will for our life. Now certainly you understand that God’s love is multidimensional. He is not only concerned with loving a man despite his shortcomings, but God loves mankind with a love that points out his sin.
Yes, God loves you and me enough to desire His best for our life. If we choose to remain living in sin once we understand who God is and what His desire is for our life, then there is nothing God can do to change the condition of our heart or the place of our eternal address.
However, when we choose to agree with God by entering into a personal relationship with Him and allowing His unconditional love to encompass our heart, our soul, and our life we can identify in Spirit with Him and love others just as we love ourselves.
Only through sincerely knowing God and allowing Him to work in our life can we love Him, others, and ourselves as He loves. Genuine love of God is the hinge upon which all other aspects of life swing into play.
Loving God with your whole heart opens your heart and life to genuinely love and affect the lives of others with His indwelling presence and power at work in your life.
