Love Produces a Disciplined Reaction
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:1-2 KJV)
Any man or woman of God can be overtaken in error, have a lapse in judgement, or simply make poor choices and fall dangerously into a pit of sin.
Sin can transpire in the lives of anyone who profess a relationship with God. The drawing effects of sin are always lying in wait, lurking along the edges of the narrow pathway, to seduce the often unsuspecting man or woman of God into choosing to sin.
That is why God’s Word commands us to reach out in love to bear the burdens of our struggling brother or sister in Christ:
“restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted…”
A godly choice stands plumb and true and in fellowship with Christ; while an ungodly choice, or sin, blocks intimate fellowship with Christ. Men and women can often be motivated or lured into sin unsuspectingly because of the constant fight going on between their old fleshly nature and their new nature from God.
