Love the Stranger
Deuteronomy 10:19 (KJB) Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
God knows and loves every man, woman, and child. There is no such thing as a stranger to Him. God is calling attention to the fact that all people were once strangers in the land of Egypt.
Yes, even if you have been saved for many years, there was a time in your life when you were a stranger in the land of Egypt. You dwelled in this dry and desolate desert for a time. You were an alien to the God and the ways of godliness. Your heart was dark and desolate and had nothing in common with the righteousness and perfection of God.
It wasn’t until you met personally with God and allowed His unconditional love to bathe you in His righteousness that you were no longer a stranger but became a spiritually adopted child of God. Love strangers for they are in desperate need of personally meeting God.
