Meditate Day and Night
Joshua 1:8 (KJV) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Meditation is not the process of clearing your mind but is instead the process of enriching your thoughts with things of God. This process is not a “one and done” matter; instead, it is a continual enhancement or a maturing process concerning the truths of God. You see, the things of God are so great and so big that no person can digest everything about God in this world.
God does not expect each of us to consider Him once and place a period concerning Him in our life. No, God wants His truths to stay fresh at the forefront of our mind and heart and for each one of us to continue in mediating and maturing in Him as we sojourn in this wicked world.
Once we arrive in eternity, we will be complete in Christ. While we serve God in this world, He wants us to meditate day and night on His Word. Once out of this world, all things will make perfect sense.
