Mercy Offered To All
Romans 11:30-32 (KJV) For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
The Apostle Paul is pointing out here in the ancient context of this verse that God offered both Jew and the Gentiles His mercy. However, just like today, not all souls will both accept and apply God’s mercy and grace. Many will spend their days on this earth in a spiritual state of unbelief and far apart from God, most often in a miserable state of existence. But current despair on this earth is nothing compared to what unbelievers will face forever in the eternal realm upon their physical death.
Oh, yes, God desires that all souls will come to a spiritual state of repentance. Yes, God does want every single soul saved. That said, God will not force His inner spiritual heart work on any person, for every individual must choose to serve and savor Him and allow His presence and power to work and will in their life.
All that is necessary to receive God’s mercy and grace is to place trust in Him, recognizing the true nature of a lost spiritual state of heart and allowing God to perform His grace and mercy work in the heart of the matter.
