Moses was “spiritual agent OO7”
And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it. (Exodus 25:8-9 KJV)
God instructed Moses on every aspect of the construction of the tabernacle. God had every detail planned, including the collection of necessary funds and the availability of valuable resources for the building of His tabernacle. Moses was His first hand “spiritual agent OO7” with the purpose of carrying out His desires on the ground.
The purpose of God’s tabernacle was so that He could dwell among His people. Before the construction of the tabernacle, the people relied upon the interaction between God and Moses on the top of the mountain to hear what God commanded them to do. The elaborate tent would be a holy meeting place for the priest to meet with God on behalf of the people.
Access to God was now to be even more prominent and available to the ancient Israelites. From the outside, the holy tabernacle would not look like anything special, but the inner areas were adorned in fine stones, laced with gold, furnished with a solid silver foundation, and special utensils, laver, and bowls for the priest’s use.
