Name It and Claim It Prosperity Not of God

June 7th, 2019

Psalm 1:1-3 (KJB) Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

God desires that a man proclaims a personal relationship with Him.

However, God does not desire for a man to make claims and to testify to others that God will certainly prosper them financially among the benefits and multiple blessings always found inside a personal relationship with God.

Think about the many false claims like this preached by popular prosperity preachers at many podiums today.

Sadly, many unsuspecting people fall head first into this trap thinking they will indeed receive a financial windfall straight from the Lord, just as many false preachers promise.  While this could happen.  It is more likely that a genuine man of God will receive a handful of trials and troubles instead of a windfall of riches in this world.

Because God knows that often a man cannot spiritually prosper or thrive in circumstances where he or she does not need to depend upon the goodness and mercy of God and His divine resources.  All too often, a man who has it all; money, pleasant circumstances, and a wonderful circle of friends and family, have no earthly reason to be humble and to rely upon the working and will of God for his life.

A man rich with money and possessions often has his own resources rather than in need of God’s power and purposes in his life.  Therefore, such a man is living far removed from having a personal relationship with God.  God claims that a man is blessed beyond human reason when choosing to rely upon the eternal riches of God.
