New Life in Christ

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

(2 Corinthians 5:17)

There is a new life associated with accepting the truly free gospel of Jesus Christ.  This newness of life is the key to building our new house on earth solidly in Christ!

He hands us the keys to open all rooms in this new house: the living room, dining room, kitchen, attic, and basement. These holy keys open every drawer, cabinet, and appliance, turn on the water, heat, and lights. His gospel totally reshapes lives of new believers in Christ.

Just as a sculptor does not use simple manicuring tools to cut and polish marble to a thing of beauty. Crude tools are utilized in this building process, such as the saw, the hammer, and the chisel.  Without using those tools the irregular stone would remain jagged and without form, not beautiful and polished.

He must help us and guide us in whittling away all the “things” of the world our evil hearts are bent towards.  He will replace those “worldly” things, and add insulation to fill the voids with His unconditional love, grace, peace, and joy.

God’s saving grace is in opposition to sinning.   God’s saving grace is in opposition to our old lifestyle in the world.

God’s serving grace helps us begin to work according to our Master’s blueprints in scripture.

He helps us in building this new house, opening it in His liberty, and keeping it on a firm structure of His Word, helping the house remain stable as the storms of life pass over its outer structure.

He promises in scripture, to those who are saved, to return someday in the clouds above the earth, for us.  He will replace our earthly house with an eternal estate, a mansion in eternity.  What a promise!

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”  (John 14:2-3)

For Further Consideration:

Have you welcomed Him into your life and allowed Him to guide you in building your earthly house according to His perfect blueprints from scripture while you wait for your new mansion in eternity?
