No Humiliation in Doing God’s Work
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJB) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
A workman who is not ashamed finds himself knee-deep in serving things of God. A man who is to be eternally embarrassed in his work is a person who is caught “red handed” doing the devil’s work and aligned with the god of this world.
Each situation resides at opposite ends of the spiritual spectrum.
It’s true, either you are doing all you can for advancing the gospel of Christ or you are serving in darkness and aligned together with the god of this world. A man cannot journey along opposing pathways as he sojourns in this world. He cannot reside on a bridge between both worlds.
Make sure your spiritual work points to God and will count for you and in the hearts and lives of others forevermore.
The spiritual bottom line: a man’s work is approved of God or accepted by the god of this world. One course leaves a man embarrassed and stranded in sin forever while the other vocation frees him and propels him through this world and onto fellowship with God forever in eternity.
