No Such Thing as Luck, I Am Highly Blessed
James 1:17 (KJB) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
I am sure you have heard these statements many times:
“I am just lucky.”
“Luck was on my side today,”
“It was the luck of the draw.”
The truth is no, no, and no! Receiving blessings never has anything to do with luck. It has everything to do with the providence of God. It is true any person can and will receive blessings from God. In fact, just the opportunity to be born into this world is quite a blessing bestowed on every human. Beyond that, God blesses mankind according to His will.
Not only will a man of God receive blessings, but God promises that he will never forsake His spiritual family.
It is true, any man, saved or lost, can and often do, receive blessings of God. Though, a sincere child of God will receive great blessings from God both now as he resides on this earth and for all eternity. A lost heart can receive certain blessings on this earth as God deems fit, but the recompense of his choice to live in opposition to things of God is certain upon his or her arrival into the eternal realm.
Luck is nothing more than the reasoning of a man having nothing to do with the providence of God. In fact, luck is a sum of mathematics in considering odds, but God can and will always beat any prospect of chance according to his power and presence at work in the hearts of His spiritual family. It is true, nothing is impossible for Him.
