Not Be Found Naked
2 Corinthians 5:1-4 (KJB) For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
A man is either spiritually clothed in Christ, or he is found desperately lost and naked in this world.
This biblical truth might sound stark and harsh, naked and desperately lost? But it is true.
A man is either clothed in Christlikeness and identifies with God as he sojourns in this world. Or he is lost and spiritually wayward and walking far removed from will and way of God.
Further, these verses state that if our earthly house or our physical body is dissolved, that the man of God has a house not made with the hands of man, but God, in the eternal realm. Upon death, a man of God finds himself in heaven and perfectly reunited and clothed with the Spirit of God.
However, death for an unregenerate man leaves him desperately naked, without a residence, and lost for all eternity.
