Romans 8:18 (KJV) For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
There is no suffering any person will face in this world that will come close in comparison to the suffering of Christ, nor the glory and wonder to come in heaven. Though it seems there are some tough days in this world and that there is no relief in sight. The valleys are rugged, and ravines deep, any such present suffering is nothing more than the opportunity to shine for Christ!
In fact, God tells us repeatedly in His Word that we should expect to suffer in this world in John 16:33, among other verses throughout scripture. To go a step further, God tells us that there is no suffering comparable to the glory each spiritually regenerated soul will receive in eternity.
See, when you compare apples to apples, any pain that a child of God must face on this earth is, but for a moment, 2 Corinthians 4:17, for our life here is brief. However, our presence in sweet fellowship with God in the eternal realm is lasting, or without end, and God chose The Apostle Paul as a believable spokesperson to convey this important spiritual message to comfort hurting hearts in this world.
Take heart amid conflicts and suffering that you will undoubtedly endure as you sojourn on this earth. A day is coming for all sincere children of God for everlasting joy and glory in fellowship with Christ forever.
