Not My Father
John 8:44 (KJV) Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
The devil is the father of lies. This scripture verse above describes that in the very words of Jesus. Perhaps it is recorded with the text color red in your Bible, so His exact words stand out from the words inspired by God and recorded by chosen men.
Yes, Jesus spoke this truth about the god of this corrupt world, the devil. It behooves each of us to pay attention to this profound truth. God saw fit to inspire and lead the Apostle John to preach and record these verses among many others in ancient times, and it is for our learning and application as well this day and beyond.
I do not know about you, but I can claim without reservation that the devil is NOT my father. I also know that the devil is not the father of a soul once regenerated in Spirit. Indeed, some souls choose to trust in and follow God the Father rather than continue to submit themselves to the god of this world innately or naturally from birth.
I hope you know that God and god stand a spiritual spectrum apart from each other, with God eternally above and beyond the limited power of the god of this world. Following god only leads a soul down a crooked path in this world and to face death and hell. On the other hand, serving and savoring God leads spiritually regenerate hearts to walk along the straight and narrow path in this world and live in sweet fellowship with God forever in eternity.
I hope you choose to follow God the Father, for only He will lead you to eternal bliss inside sweet fellowship with Him forever. Following this world’s god leads a person to wander down a dead-end street while living on this earth and forever in the eternal realm.
