One Blood Donor Saved Every Life

Leviticus 17:11 (KJB) For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

Blood, without it, no person could remain physically alive.  If a person is gravely injured and bleeds a copious amount of blood, it is not long before hypovolemic shock sets in as his life flows out of him.  Or, when a person has a heart issue, and blood is not pumped into his body, without fresh oxidized blood, the heart soon fails as cardiogenic shock prevails.

As you can see, blood is the life of every physical body.  Without it, death comes in moments.  This fact pushes many people to repeatedly give blood for saving the lives of others impacted by a sudden life-threatening illness, accidents, or injuries.  Many easily comprehend the physical need for blood in preserving and saving lives.

While doing so is commendable, another blood donor is more significant for His blood sacrifice will last forever.  A greater donor is impacting many more lives than all the blood donors together.

Did you know that blood is the spiritual life of every soul?  It is true, without the covering of Jesus Christ’s blood, physical death, and spiritual death will come to every soul. One blood donor saved every life, and it is not any person who donated blood to an active national organization pursuing life-saving medical opportunities on this earth.  The blood donor with the potential to save every life is Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ’s shed-blood sacrifice on Calvary paved the way for every person to live forever.  Each person must be covered in His precious shed blood before physical death to live in fellowship with Him forever.  Otherwise, death will have a lasting sting for our loved ones and us in eternity.
