One Soul Makes a Difference

Genesis 18:32 (KJB) And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake.

Soul winning can seem at times perhaps tedious.  Especially in a world where a man learns to expect instant results for his labor, soul winning can seem to have little or no reward.  However, the supernatural power and presence of God calling to lost souls is always present and potent.  His supernatural power can usher in eternal results (Isaiah 55:11) according to the will and way of God.  A child of God will not always see or know the results.

Lost souls are not naturally receptive to hearing eternal messages from God as their ears are more readily approachable by a hopeless dark and desperate spiritual drivel compliments of satan.  Therefore, soul winning is a time consuming spiritual initiative with a divine outcome never limited to the performance of man but solely resting upon the divine power and purposes of God.

As you can see the dynamics of this verse, a few people each reaching even one soul can make a world of difference.

Imagine God coming to this earth to destroy it because of flourishing sin, as He did in the time of Lot.  God came on a spiritual quest to find a handful of saved souls, but He only found many hardened evil hearts.  God succinctly chose to destroy the desperately wicked land rather than preserve it.

Perhaps even one reached heart on that ancient day might have made the difference between deliverance and destruction of the land.  Facing a spiritually grave situation makes soul winning that much more important in the life of every child of God.

One day, Jesus Christ is going to come again to this earth.  Yes, there is still time today for the salvation of receptive souls.  However, one day it will be too late and certain destruction will reign down upon this evil land and the salvation of even one soul is eternally valuable and precious.
