Opposition Can Wear a Man Down but It Shouldn’t Do Him In
Hebrews 12:3 (KJB) For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
All of us have faced moments of great opposition and endured an onslaught of persecution can become faint and weary. Facing such hate and dissension can emotionally, spiritually, and physically drain any man.
It is especially true when facing rough spiritual times that we need to consider that, Jesus too, faced times of spiritual weariness induced by satan and his dark antagonism working in this world. You see, Jesus Christ was God and a man in the flesh, just as we are living in the flesh. He faced every trial and temptation that we too face in this world for He was both all man and God.
When we start to feel spiritually wore down and weary it is good for us to focus on the life of Jesus Christ as He sojourned on this earth. He faced the same we face today and all without fainting in strength or sinning alongside the great wickedness at work in this world.
We too can face certain opposition, trials, and times of spiritual unrest as we sojourn in this earth. We too can share in His victory by choosing to rest inside the power and presence of God rather than fainting among the great evil and wickedness at work in this world.
