James 1:3-4 (KJB) Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Patience is not one of my strong suits. In fact, I can be downright impatient and even exasperated at times.
What about you?
It is a constant battle to remind myself that God desires to try my faith as well as strengthen my patience. If I let myself become frustrated and bent out of shape by minor inconveniences and impatient in times of waiting how can God use me for His glory and honor in tough times?
God always does His perfecting in the best way and just at the right time but His way does not always “fit in” with my own opinion, way, and timing!
And herein lies the problem. The problem is with me. It is in these times that my will and my perception of what is best get in the way of God’s perfecting of my patience.
The best part is God always leaves the answer or solution for the situation at hand on the bottom shelf and in easy reach for me. I just need to take the time to collect a few breaths and wait upon Him to work according to His will in my life!
