Paul’s Benediction Flattered God
1 Timothy 1:17 (KJB) Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Paul, who considered himself the worst sinner, had nothing but a mouthful of great descriptive words for the purpose of spilling out great honor and glory for God. Paul, for one, should have a great and intimate spiritual understanding of who God is and what He can and will do in changing lives from serving darkness to serving light.
Paul was knocked to the ground and humbled before God. He was emptied of self to be filled with God. Paul’s life was never the same again. Instead of persecuting followers of God, Paul received new spiritual vision and the vices of the god of this world quickly fell away.
The eternal virtues of God were alive and present inside Paul’s spiritually softened heart.
