Proudly Heading to Hell
Psalm 36:1-2 (KJB) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes. 2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
These verses in this Psalm were used by David to define the darkness at work in the hearts of his enemies. However, the same descriptive words and truths of God can be used to describe the many hateful hearts in lost individuals living in this world.
Not only are there many people proud of who they are, these same people are busy parading and prattling about it in public. In doing so, they have publicised the spiritual desert conditions present inside their hearts. Anotherwards, they are proudly heading straight to Hell.
Imagine how hateful this kind of sin-filled life is towards God.
It is a sad truth that this is especially noticeable in this holiday time set aside as a time for honoring Jesus Christ’s birth in the flesh.
Rather than celebrate the greatest gift of all, many people celebrate the Christmas season by making it all about them, their family, a truckload of gifts, and little or nothing to do about God or the birth of His Only Son Jesus Christ.
Only fear about God can wake wayward hearts up from their spiritual death march igniting a fire in their heart and mind for understanding the Truth of God’s Word. No fear of God always produces a hateful, sinfully wicked, disobedient heart condition that opposes the spiritual trio of God, The Spirit, and His Only Son Jesus Christ.
