“Pseudo Light” Matched Against Genuine Eternal Light
Luke 11:34-36 (KJB) The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. 35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. 36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
It has been said that the eyes of a man are the reservoir of his soul. Therefore, his eyes are either illuminated by the singular light of God. Or they are flooded with a “pseudo light” a brand of darkness straight from the god of this world. There is no such thing as being spiritually half lit, or an ability to have one eye focused on each spiritual world.
A person is either in spiritual agreement with God, or he stands in opposition to Him.
The immediate context God points to in this parable is about choosing to personally identify with His Only Son Jesus Christ. Some people choose to acknowledge Him, while others elect to hide any understanding of Him and to “hide” His light from shining in their lives.
The eternal light of God cannot be choked off or hid for it will burn brightly forever for His eternal nature not affected by anything the devil or mankind can do. However, a man can choose to ignore God and determine that His brightness will not shine in his life. One way a man can accomplish this is to remain spiritually ignorant of the power and presence of God by making no personal commitment or proclamation of personally knowing God. The other way to conceal God’s light is to first proclaim a personal understanding of God, but in time prove this proclamation to be a false profession because of no personal fruit production.
“Pseudo light,” readily available in this world, can deliver temporary lighting to make it appear as if a man or woman has been quickened spiritually alive by God, but this kind of fake illumination does not last.
The Truth of God has been clearly revealed for all mankind to understand. The Bible tells us that every man’s heart can be eternally illuminated but for this spiritual event to take place he must choose to accept God’s revealing light to work and will in his heart. God will providentially extinguish any strange light not implemented by Him or used for His divine purpose.
