Real Beauty is Inward
1 Peter 3:3 (KJB) Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel.
It is a sad fact that many people, mostly women, believe that slathering on makeup, drawing outrageous eyebrows, and adorning themselves in the latest and greatest fashions and flashy accessories gives the world their best look. Honestly, nothing can be further from the truth.
Now this is not to say that any application of makeup or in cleaning oneself up is wrong or frowned upon by God. However, there is modesty and godly restraint in all areas of life, including our apparel, our hair, and in our outward adornment.
I fact, it has been said: “all that glitter is not gold.” Anotherwards, what you may consider being attractive is far from being genuinely beautiful in the eyes of God. You see, the truth is that glitter that comes from God is a supernatural beauty. It is an inward heart beauty that works its way to affect one outwardly.
God’s spiritual beauty is more than an outward slathering of paint and plaiting of hair. It is a natural beauty that comes from personally knowing and serving God from the heart. Eternal beauty never fades or fools God concerning the sincere state of your heart and real attractiveness in this world.
