Rejected by His Own
John 1:10-11 (KJB) He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Sometimes, those who are the closest to us can also serve as some of our harshest critics. Experiencing rejection and ridicule from others is common. In fact, Jesus Christ experienced rejection in His short-lived ministry upon this earth.
He tells us throughout the canon of scripture that we, too, will face rebuff and rejection, perhaps especially from our own family and close friends. The wisdom at work in this world is often found to be set in a different tone and direction than that which is eternal and found emanating from God.
However, child of God does not ever give up hope for there will always be a remnant who will have open ears to hear God and eyes which they can see God, despite the apparent proliferation of wickedness and evil at work in this world, even among close friends and family,
