Saved In Childbearing
1 Timothy 2:14-15 (KJB) And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding and false teaching concerning these verses, but there are essential facts for each of us to discern and digest in reading them. First of all, the mention of childbearing does not mean that when any woman gives birth, she finds salvation. Or that deception and sin is the fault of Eve. God’s Word imparts that Adam, the man and the leader of the original family, bears the responsibility for the presence of sin.
It does, however, point to a woman saving the world from sin through childbearing. That woman revealed is Eve. Eve was the first mother of this world, and she, along with the first father Adam, parenting this entire civilization as we know it today, bringing salvation through childbirth.
There was a time when God grew dissatisfied with the sin-filled heart condition of humanity, and God sent a life-ending flood to rid the earth of most all humankind. However, through this divine preservation of Noah, who in faith kept the seed of life from Adam ongoing, leading to the finished work of Jesus Christ, a shed-blood sacrifice willingly offered on Calvary. This spiritual work keeps death in check and lands victory in hand to all regenerated souls from this day forward.
From the beginning to this day, to the end of time, each of us is encouraged to continue in faith and love with sobriety to spread the eternal message from God about life and His enduring love of God despite the often seemingly overwhelming presence of sin and wickedness in this world.
