Savior Of All

Savior Of All

1 Timothy 4:10 (KJB) For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

So many people have adopted the false notion that some people are elected to salvation while others are not. God does not pick and choose who receives the deliverance of their soul.  If election were true, how would a person know if they are ever truly saved or not?

What if God did choose some souls to be regenerated and others He simply left to die without a chance for salvation.  How loving and grace-filled would this kind of pick and choosing ministry seem to lost souls?  It would not be a very generous or graceful approach to the salvation of souls indeed.  That illustration alone is why this kind of belief is not of God; it does not match his unchangeable character of unmerited love for all people in spite of their natural propensity to sin.

Yes, it is not rocket science for any person to believe that God desires for salvation of the soul for all humanity.  God desires no person faces death in the grip of sin.  However, God does not force His unlimited love, mercy, and grace onto any lost soul.  God allows each person to choose regarding the spiritual state of his or her soul.

Any person who desires to be in spiritual agreement with God allows Him to regenerate their soul.  This feat of God does not bring him or her a peaceful walk in the rose garden each day but allows the fiery trials and tribulations to work and prove the spiritual state of a saved individual’s life.  Facing spiritual battles in victory with God declares allegiance to Him, not alignment with the wickedness of this world.
