Self is always The Problem
John 3:30 (KJB) He must increase, but I must decrease.
We are often our own worst enemy. Not only that but from birth are naturally drawn to the desires of our own flesh rather than God. Self is always the problem and never the solution, though a person is born naturally hard-wired to seek his own answers in this world, God is waiting for us to recognize Him.
Once a person distinguishes that me, myself, and I are the problem, he can humbly go before God to receive lasting answers. God has already given mankind easy access to His unrivaled eternal solutions readily found in His Word. The key to solving our sin dilemma always involves the spiritual work of God and His Son Jesus Christ, plus nothing added that we can do for ourselves.
Once a man has set down his perceived self-worth and shed his self-sufficiency, only then is he ready to hear and apply God’s proven answers for his state of affairs in this world. Sin is always the problem and a growing personal relationship with God is always the solution.
When a person recognizes God personally it is then that he can acknowledge only God holds the key to every situation of life. The resolution for sin and strife in this world always begins with more of God and less of self.
