Sends Us Forth

Matthew 10:16 (KJB) Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

There is a spiritually beneficial message for every child of God to take to heart in this short verse of scripture.  Jesus spoke clearly here, not sending His message covertly, making it hard to understand, or covering it with a fine layer of smoke and mirrors.

Yes, this is an easy to understand and timeless directive that any person can hear and apply in his or her life.  All a person needs in understanding this verse it to know that first Jesus Christ, and then every sincere child of God, is compared here to a sheep coming in the middle of a pack of wolves.  God sent His Only Son to be born on this earth among an ancient pack of wolves, today though the characters have changed, there are many modern wolves at work in this wicked world.

However, no matter how loud any of these wolves howl, or come at you with the intent to harm, every child of God must keep his or her life in perspective to Jesus Christ as he left the throne room of heaven to come to this earth.  Jesus Christ did not expect men to accept Him or cherish His message widely.  No, He understood that He was placed on this earth in a vulnerable position to accomplish the will of God among men.

As you know, Jesus Christ accomplished the will of God through eternal wisdom and the unlimited love of God.

Guess what, you too were placed on this earth with a purpose and a plan according to the will of God for your life.  You also have packs of wolves bordering you.  Each of us can choose to apply the wisdom given of God and apply his love to our lives, and in the lives of others about us, we come across in this world.  Doing so will open the door to accomplishing the will God tampered with love He has set on your life.

God gave each of us His direction and biblical examples to follow in accomplishing His will and for affecting the lives of others even as we deal with packs of wolves bordering us daily.  God does not ever hide the fact that the job will be challenging as enemies surround us, but God gives each of us all that we need to accomplish whatever He has placed on our life.
