Separated from The Penalty of Sin
Romans 5:1-2 (KJB) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
A sincere child of God has been saved through faith in the finished spiritual work of Christ and spared from the natural penalty of death from sin. The price of sin is the certainty of physical death and the ensuing eternal separation from God. This consequence is naturally at work in the life of every spiritually lost heart the moment of his physical death.
A child of God has eternal peace with God. An eternal position with God through faith in Jesus Christ. It is true, a sincere child of God has lasting peace and spiritual prosperity with God. A spiritually regenerated heart does not face death but everlasting life inside personal fellowship with God. A child of God stands in hope and rejoicing with his or her day of physical death better than his day of natural birth inti this wicked world.
The grace of God is naturally at work in the life of every child of God. Upon his physical death, it ushers him into eternal fellowship with God because God satisfied the consequences of sin through the finished work of His Son. However, a lost heart is forever separated from God the moment of his physical death and faces the price of his sin forevermore.
