Separation And Sin
Isaiah 59:1-2 (KJB) Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Separation from God is always initiated by mankind, for God does not ever move away from any person. Individuals who disagree with the nature and character of God choose to step aside or run from God and to adopt the ways and will at work in this world.
God’s power is unquenchable and never fades in strength. God’s ears hear every utterance both from our mouth and heart. God is always aware of where we are and what we need in our life. However, God will not force any person to place trust in Him and to serve Him.
Each person must make a personal choice to agree with God about the nature of sin and death and to separate from the ways of this world. God desires that each person be willing to turn from sin and to turn our attention to Him, and we elect to fulfill His will for our life. Otherwise, spiritual separation can be quite dangerous for, after a time, God will reject us and no longer hear our prayer.
Sin always gets in the way of any relationship between humanity and God. Each of us must choose to align with the will of God and to separate from the presence of sin. If a person elects to remain spiritually divided from God by sin, then at some point, God will choose not to hear his or her prayers.
