Sin is Never A Bargain
1 Peter 2:24 (KJB) Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Sin is expensive to the sinner.
Sin is expensive to everyone; strangers, friends, acquaintances and family members around a person choosing to sin. An individual is always affected by second-hand consequences of sin.
Sin is expensive for every spiritually lost soul.
Sin was never in any way, shape, or form a bargain between God and His Son Jesus Christ. The cost to provide a way to rid hearts of sin and remove the penalty of death was extremely costly, both physically and spiritually, for God and His son Jesus Christ.
So much so that Jesus Christ sweat drops of blood in the garden when in communication with His Father in preparation for facing Calvary. Again, sin had an incredible cost the very moment Jesus Christ was calling out to His Father from the cross. It was in this instant Jesus Christ was separated from fellowship with God when putting on Himself the sin of the world.
Sin cost Jesus Christ everything and was more than any of us could ever pay ourselves. No man merits being saved from sin, but God loved us all so much (John 3:16) he faced the penalty of death for us.
You see, when you choose to sin, though you potentially will have consequences to face, it will and does affect others. Jesus Christ has already paid the penalty for all sin in full on Calvary. He made it possible for you and me and all people to be saved from facing the eternal death of sin.
