Sincere Contentment Begins with God
Hebrews 13:5 (KJB) Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Yes, genuine contentment begins inside a personal relationship with God. This relationship offers both comfort, now and perpetual peace about the future.
Contentment is alive and kicking inside a saved man or woman of God. It is a spiritual fruit which naturally works its way out of a quickened heart of saved people. It is his or her natural inclination, dialogue, and actions which spiritually agree with God, bringing Him glory and honor, and positively affecting other lives in this world.
There are many flavors of conversation and speech working in this dark world. Certainly, some varieties are unflattering and unidentifiable with the holy character of God. However, in the life of a man or woman of God, his or her speech is naturally laced with spiritual love, affluence, and satisfaction. This can draw a spiritually needy person in and wrap Him snuggly in the love of God through the actions and speech of God’s servants in this world.
The speech of a godly person is, first, based on the Truth of God, pleasant to the ears, and eternally comforting to the soul of a spiritual needy heart. Godly speech and great contentment in the heart is natural and necessary in the lives of men and women busy about serving God.
