Sincerely Seeking His Will
John 15:7 (KJB) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Did you know that for a child of God his natural obedience to things of God are directly tied to receiving answers to prayer? This verse says just that. If, is an important word, for it lays out God’s condition for His spiritual children receiving answered prayer.
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you…”
So often a person may fail to communicate in heart speak with God. Or he may take spiritually connecting in prayer and the study of His Word lightly. He may even have good intentions, but at the end of the day, may fail miserably to put his goals into action.
But you must understand that prayer with God is serious spiritual business.
A professing Christian either connects with God in heartfelt prayer, abides in His will, receiving answers to prayer, or a man disgusts God in his lame attempts to please Him. A person cannot ignore God, fritter away his time foolishly. and expect God to hear and react favorably to a lackadaisical prayer life.
In fact, God says in Proverbs 28:9 (KJB) He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
It is a disgrace to God when we ignore Him and fail to follow His divine direction until we desire something in return from Him. God expects our undivided attention, heartfelt communication, and natural desire to serve Him. He desires and deserves our best!
