Straight from The Mouth of Jesus
Acts 20:35 (KJV) I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
This scripture is inspired by God and spoken straight from the mouth of Jesus. Here Jesus is speaking about our generosity towards others, and this is a vital lesson that each of us should hear and take to heart. In fact, in this scripture, we are given the prescription for keeping the wheel of blessing spinning from heart to heart on this earth.
It is no secret to those who have placed faith in God and walk with Him that untold blessings always come from giving of yourself, time, talents, to others in need. Indeed, you must understand that each child of God is both the hands and heart of God at work in the lives of others in this world, as God directs and will for their life. Allowing their life to be used as a billboard for God, each regenerated heart is willing and desires to be kind to hurting and wounded souls. Extending this kindness is done by reaching them with the message of salvation, the love, grace, and mercy of God for in doing so, are indeed blessed in return, both here and in eternity, by the everlasting goodness of God.
Jesus Christ spoke of giving and receiving blessings. His message is vital for souls, both in the here and now and eternity.
